Guru Vikram Sinha
Guru Vikram Singh is acknowledged within the Kathak tradition as a respected guru whose contributions are rooted in the classical system of transmission through the guru–shishya parampara. Although widely documented records of his work are limited, his influence is evident in the strength and clarity of the training imparted to his disciples. Associated with a lineage that values discipline, technical precision, and a nuanced understanding of rhythm and expression, his teachings have played a role in shaping the foundational learning of Kathak practitioners. His impact continues through the generations of artists who carry forward this knowledge in their own practice and teaching. As one of the gurus who guided Prof. Ranjana Srivastava, his presence forms an important part of the lineage that underpins her work. This continuity of learning extends further through her disciples, including the teaching approach at Vibha’s Kathak Nritya Academy. His contribution reflects the enduring nature of classical traditions, where knowledge is preserved and sustained through dedicated mentorship and lived practice.
